Google Ads is a platform for displaying product and service advertisements online.
Adding the Global Site Tag
Follow these steps to add Google's global site tag code to the <HEAD> section of every page:
- Sign in to your Good Gallery administrator account.
- Hover your cursor over the Site menu.
- Under the Your Settings menu heading, choose Site Options.
- Edit the HEAD Info setting.
- Paste or enter the global site tag code provided by Google.
- Click the Save Changes button.
Adding Event Snippets to Individual Pages
You can add events on individual pages using the Google event snippet. The Code View option in the Text Editor exposes the source HTML for pages where you can insert your embedded Google event snippet code.
Follow these steps to add Google event snippet code to the <BODY> section of individual pages to track events on page load:
- Sign in to your Good Gallery administrator account.
- Hover your cursor over the Pages menu.
- Under the Your Pages menu heading, choose the appropriate page.
- Click the Code View button (
</>) on the Text Editor toolbar. - Paste or enter the Google event snippet code at the top of the content area.
- Click the Save Changes button.
Disable Auto-Tagging
Since query strings are not supported in Good Gallery, you must disable auto-tagging in Google Ads settings before you start a new campaign.
Follow these steps to disable auto-tagging in Google Ads:
- Sign in to your Google Ads account.
- Click the Gear icon.
- Select Account settings.
- On the Preferences tab, click Edit (in the Tracking section).
- Clear (disable) the Destination URL Auto-tagging checkbox.
- Click Save changes.
Note: Query strings are not supported in Good Gallery. Make sure to disable auto-tagging before starting any new campaigns to avoid tracking issues.
