Backups

Good Gallery server hardware is incredibly reliable and distributed. Backups are performed to guard against the possibility of catastrophic server failures or malicious attacks.

Backup Schedule

Good Gallery websites and WordPress websites hosted on Good Gallery servers are backed up on the following schedule:

• Hourly backups -- stored for 3 days
• Daily backups -- stored for 3 weeks
• Weekly backups -- stored for 3 months

Good Gallery does not just backup servers and assume that the backups are good. Instead, frequent testing of backups is performed to ensure the long-term viability of the data.

Given the nature of the disaster recovery systems, in the case of an emergency or catastrophic failure, Good Gallery can immediately rollback to backups.

Backup Restoration

If you request that Good Gallery restore your website or WordPress blog from one of the server backups, that requires non-supported work by the product team.

Therefore, restoring your website or WordPress blog from a backup is considered a paid service separate from the services provided as part of your standard hosting.

Your Own Backups

Although Good Gallery maintains server backups, you should regularly back up your WordPress blog using approved plugins. This helps ensure that your blog information remains viable in case you make a mistake in your blog configuration, install a plugin that misbehaves, or if your blog is hacked.
